This detailed walkthrough will help players complete The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom's Secret of the Ring Ruins main quest.

Secret of the Ring Ruins is a main quest in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom that players can initiate after receiving the Find the Fifth Sage quest. It is started by speaking with Paya and Tauro at coordinates 1816, -0951, 0113 within Kakariko Village, and it is composed of numerous objectives. This complete walkthrough of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom's Secret of the Ring Ruins quest is here to help players that may get stuck as they work through those objectives.

To note, players must have access to TotK's Camera ability and 10 Heart Containers to complete Secret of the Ring Ruins. While neither of those requirements are particularly difficult to fulfill, fans should still confirm that they have their business in order before attempting to address this main quest.

The first task is to enter the Ring Ruins that are hovering above Paya and Tauro. To do this, fans should climb the wood scaffolding, situate themselves under the ruins (1813, -0909, 0159), and use TotK's Ascend ability to get inside.

Upon ascending into the Ring Ruins, players will see an etched stone slab embedded into the wall. This slab is to be photographed with the Camera ability, and fans should return to Paya and Tauro when the photograph has been made.

Showing the photograph of the Ring Ruins stone slab will prompt Tauro and Calip to make their way to Popla Foothills Skyview Tower, which is located at 0602, -2118, 0098 to the southwest of Kakariko Village. Here, players should speak with Calip to receive their next objective.

That next objective is to find Tauro at Dracozu Lake, which is just southeast of the Popla Foothills Skyview Tower. Upon arriving at this location, players should enter the pillar-shaped ruin at 0973, -2533, 0008 and speak with Tauro.

Tauro will read a mural during this conversation, and it serves as a two-part riddle that players must solve. Here is how fans should approach both parts of this puzzle, and they will receive their next task when the job is done:

This part of the riddle centers around locating and equipping three pieces of Charged Armor. All of this TotK armor can be looted from nearby chests, and here is how to find each piece:

With the Charged Armor equipped, players should make their way to the end of the Dracozu River and head to 0691, -2745, 0013. There is a small room in this position, and there is an altar against its back wall. Fans must now place a Zonai Charge upon that altar, and here is how that is done:

Players must now set their sights on a sky island that has appeared above the Dracozu River. To reach this island, players should interact with the circle inside TotK 's Popla Foothills Skyview Tower to use it as a launchpad and glide to the northwestern tip, calling upon Tulin's ability as needed.

It is now time for Tears of the Kingdom players to cross the Thundrehead Isles, and the southeast corner is their ultimate destination. While there are many ways to go about performing this journey, here is a path that fans should consider taking:

Players will now find themselves on Dragonhead Island, and they should use a sharp weapon to cut through the vines to the north of the Joku-u Shrine. This cutting will give fans access to a room with a large door, and they should confirm that they have at least 10 filled hearts and then hold the interact button until that door opens. Players should then interact with the Zonai Relic that is beyond that door to trigger a short cutscene and complete the Secret of the Ring Ruins main quest.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available for the Nintendo Switch.
