Inside Amir Khan’s HUGE 10th wedding anniversary celebrations for wife Faryal after marriage scandals

AMIR Khan is pulling out all the stops for his and wife Faryal Makhdoom's 10th wedding anniversary.

The Sun can exclusively reveal that the retired boxer and I'm A Celebrity legend, 36, has arranged to whisk Faryal off to a luxury tropical location to mark a decade of married life.

An insider said: "Amir has put his all into planning the perfect trip. It will be a case of no expense spared and is going to be very romantic.

"Their wedding was a huge event with a massive guest list, but this celebration is very much just for them and will be kept private.

"Amir has vowed he will keep fighting for their marriage in the years to come, and he's splashed out on a gorgeous eternity ring that signifies the three children they have together. Faryal will love it."

The couple, who have children Lamaisah, eight, Alayna, five, and son, Muhammad, three, initially married in Faryal's home city of New York in 2013 at the plush Waldorf-Astoria hotel in front of a star-studded guest list including Wayne Rooney and Rio Ferdinand.

They then had a second ceremony in Amir's hometown of Bolton with 4,000 people in attendance.

Both the bride and groom regretted going so big for the occasion though, admitting it got out of hand.

Faryal said she would change "everything" about the weddings, while Amir told his I'm A Celebrity campmates: "Family, friends — everyone likes to be there. If you call one family member, they want to bring their auntie, uncle, cousin, sister. The ice-cream van man got an invitation as well!

"There were that many people there. It was a like a massive gala, like a big event. That's why now, if I was ever to do it again, it would be me and the wife, and keep it really simple."

While the pair are happy now, the relationship hasn't always been sunshine and rainbows.

Over the years there have been multiple cheating accusations, and in 2017 the pair temporarily split after Amir accused Faryal of having a fling with Anthony Joshua, something they both denied and Amir has since admitted to getting wrong.

Faryal previously said of the turbulent times: "I think my relationship still gets judged for what it's been through. As much as you want to forget a bad part of your life you can't because you’re constantly reminded of it.

"A lot of people go through ups and downs but the only difference is my marriage is quite public."
