How to get & fuse Ring Garland in Tears of the Kingdom (TotK)

The Ring Garland is one of the most unique items in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom because it doesn't act like almost everything else. You can't add it to your inventory in the same way as other items, and its purposes in the game are quite intriguing, too. Here's how to get the Ring Garland in Tears of the Kingdom.

If you want to get the Ring Garland in Tears of the Kingdom, you’ll want to head to Kakariko Village.

Once you get here, there is a flower stand in the middle of town. If you speak with the girl Koko, she will offer to sell a Ring Garland to you for a mere five Rupees. However, when you purchase this item, what might surprise is that you can't just pick it up and add it to your inventory. It isn't classified as a material or key item, much like everything else in the game. As such, you may be wondering what you’re supposed to do with it.

What you want to do is pull out one of your shields—preferably one you don't need to use in battle—and then select the Fuse ability. Fuse the Ring Garland to your shield and you’ll turn it into a gorgeous wreath of flowery protection. This is the main way that you want to bring along the Ring Garland with you since it doesn't function like other items. This is necessary, too, if you wish to make use of this special item and its various purposes.

While the Ring Garland is quite cheap, there are a couple of key reasons you want it. The first of these is you can use it as a nice decoration piece. You can take it to Zelda's house—Link's former home—in Hateno Village and place it as decoration there. In addition, a Ring Garland is necessary for the Voe and You side quest in Gerudo Town. Once you’ve reached the Gerudo Town emergency shelter for the Lightning Temple, you’ll find that classes are being held there underground.

There are three Gerudo women you need to help in the side quest (with their own requirements for each portion). The third and final woman needs you to find a Ring Garland and show it to her to complete the side quest. Once you have the fused Ring Garland, pull out the shield to show it to her.
